Nigerian singer-songwriter Lovn is about to make a big statement with his first album SOUNDBENDER, a 9-track Afrobeats effort that introduces fans to his evolving artistic identity and distinctive sound on modern African music.
The album dropped on September 25, 2026, and is categorized as a nine-track, 26 minute production under the Afrobeats genre. It is released via Mavin Global Holdings Ltd, a key milestone in the journey of Lovn as a young Nigerian artist.
SOUNDBENDER is more than a collection of music. The project is a space for Lovn to experiment with new sounds and musical influences, and an exploration of the tension between closeness and independence, material survival and self-worth, Apple Music’s editorial description says.
The album is a blend of Afrobeats, Afrofusion, R&B and South African-influenced production but yet retains some characteristics of Nigerian musical culture with Yoruba vocals, talking drums and recognizable lyrical references.
