Nigerian producer Masterkraft and Ramoni revisit a past creative collaboration on the Afrobeats tune “Iwonikan” on Party Starter (PS2).
The pair have collaborated for the first time here, both having appeared on Stormatique’s 2023 single “Gbona” with Tiphhyz. Their reunion is another collaboration on the new album based on an established musical relationship, not a first-time combination.
On the public platform the song is categorized as an Afrobeats, one of the genres that recurs throughout the project. Also, its over-four-minute length offers room to the collaborative performance without making brevity the major goal.
Masterkraft has kept a vast network of collaborators throughout his career, whereas Ramoni has accumulated credits on his own discography and in features with other artists. Getting them back together provides the song a unique point of differentiation within the new project.
