French R&B influence is present on It’s Yemi Alade as Nigerian Afropop sensation Yemi Alade teams up with French singer Singuila on “Paradise,” another international collaboration from the 2026 album.
Singuila brings with him decades of experience in the Francophone R&B scene, giving Yemi Alade a partner from a musical circuit other than the Nigerian guests on the project. His Congolese and Central African backgrounds are also indicative of the album’s broader continental links.
It’s in the pocket of a measured Afrobeats tune instead of a push for sheer speed. The middle of the road pacing creates a beneficial area for two established vocal artists to trade off on the arrangement while preserving the presence of the rhythm throughout.
Yemi Alade is already well known in the French-speaking African markets, while Singuila has built a career that has played in France and the Francophone markets. Together they provide the album’s Nigerian collaborations’ different crossover possibilities from the record.
