Indie gospel composer and producer SA Godwin from New York centers “Bless Me Too” as the title track of a 24-song gospel album that takes the heart of his 2026 collection.
Bless Me Too is among the most ambitious gospel projects released by an independent Nigerian singer this year, with 24 tracks and one hour and forty-nine minutes.
SA Godwin doesn’t treat the album like a compilation of random singles. The title track forms the foundation of a devotional body of work that is continually based around prayer-led material and personal appeals to God for the whole runtime.
The title itself carries a certain spiritual humility. “Bless Me Too” is not a demand nor a bold statement—it is a humble request. It is the same kind of prayer Jacob prayed when he refused to let God go until he received his blessing. But SA Godwin presents it in a contemporary gospel style, making the emotional truthfulness feel approachable rather than officially religious.
And his producing instinct also shows remarkable discipline. The title track is also simple and direct, with no extraneous decoration to distract the vocal message from the front and center. Such an honest devotional record demands production that serves the prayer, not decorates it.
Prior to this album, the likes of “I Will Not Give Up,” “In The Silence,” and “Open Every Door” had already established a loyal following. And early momentum on Uganda’s YouTube chart shows the project is connecting with listeners outside his previous fan base.
