One of the confidence-fuelled tracks on his debut album, All Hail Muyeez, in 2026, Hero is about Muyeez’s personal ascent, a fast-rising Nigerian musician.
Here Muyeez describes his experience and achievements that have led him to believe that his tale might be an inspiration to his peers and audience. The writing carries the confidence that runs through much of the album, but the emphasis gives that assurance a purpose beyond just self-indulgence.
Larrylanes is still very much at the heart of the album’s production language, which borrows from Afrobeat, soul and electronic music, letting Muyeez’s melodic delivery and youthful personality come to the fore.
There’s real context behind the message. Bursting onto the scene at 16 with “Instagram,” Muyeez swiftly graduated to projects and collaborations with famous Nigerian stars, making “Hero” a meditation on progress made at an extremely young age.
