The Nigerian singer KellyEazi hooks up with the Nigerian rapper Highstarlavista on “WHY ME?” a collaboration between the two that was announced at the rollout as a passionate record in August 2026.
This release is not the first time the pair have teamed up. KellyEazi had been on Highstarlavista’s campus tour during his time in Enugu State University of Science and Technology, so their eventual meeting on record is a big jump from the initial link.
Davekeyz produced, continuing his work on recent KellyEazi material, and built the sonic landscape for the two performers to investigate the song from their differing vocal viewpoints.
“WHY ME?” is KellyEazi’s second collaboration since “Till when?” with Evado in June, while Highstarlavista is coming off his six-song Material EP. Thus the one links two musicians working now in the burgeoning circuit of Eastern music in Nigeria.
