wesi Arthur joins forces with Kweku Smoke on “Power House,” and the exhaustion of “NO DAYS OFF” is finally alleviated.
Here the beat expands wider, the bassline thicker, and more room is made than the past four tracks permitted. The producer clearly realizes it has space for two voices.
Kweku Smoke is still at the head of the pack with that same unrelenting energy, but a bit less clipped now, like having someone else there slows the pace a touch. Kwesi Arthur reacts more smoothly and melodically, whereas Kweku remains crisp, the contrast giving the track its real lift.
Now onto the fifth track and the first with company after four solitary runs in a row. Power sounds different when it is not carried alone.
