Ghanaian rapper and singer King Paluta continues the Sarkodie-assisted “Give Up and See” with a 2026 track, “Away (Prayer),” a change of pace that emphasizes faith and personal security.
The song is a direct appeal to God, in which King Paluta asks for strength, tranquility, and protection, and to be far from problems and everything that may impede his progress. The lesson ties prayer to the realities of attempting to push through tough conditions.
Rather of fleshing out the notion into a whole story, the record remains close to the kernel of the request. King Paluta employs the spiritual direction as the vehicle through which he expresses his vulnerability, without losing the grounded style that is common in much of his music.
“Away (Prayer)” is yet another layer to his recent collection. Cuts like “Give Up and See” play on persistence and ambition; this one gives more weight to the search of divine covering while continuing that push.
