Ifeanyi Mojay – Go Away

Nigerian musician, Ifeanyi Mojay releases “Go Away,” a tune from his 2022 album “For Love.” This one is more on the difficult side of relationships, distance and pushing someone away.

Ifeanyi Mojay’s collection is based on the different facets of love and “Go Away” leans toward its more bitter edge. It demonstrates the true emotional gamut of the group, nestled among more romantic pieces such as “Season Love” on the same album. That contrast gives “For Love” a broader, more honest depiction of what relationships go through in real life.

The production remains warm and melodious, sitting well within the afro-pop style that runs through the remainder of the album. Nothing here reaches for an easy hook before the emotion has settled.

But the arrangement is nevertheless gentle, and allows space for true conflict to emerge. Everything here feels intentional and whole. It sounds like a real, heavier track from his overall For Love project.
