Ifeanyi Mojay – Another Man

Nigerian artist Ifeanyi Mojay born in Enugu comes through with Another Man, tune from his 2022 album For Love. This one was originally released as a standalone single in 2021 and eventually ended up on the whole project.

Ifeanyi Mojay’s has built his discography on love and everyday emotion and ‘Another Man’ follows the same afro-pop foundation. Ogili Joel Ifeanyi also co-writes here, adding great collaborative dimension to the record. It came out around a year before the album, so you can see how important this concept was for him even before “For Love” was put together.

The production is warm and melodic, nicely in keeping with the afro-pop vibe flowing through the rest of the record. Here nothing hurries to a simple hook before the emotion comes The arrangement, in contrast, is delicate, allowing true sentiment to come through.

Ifeanyi Mojay is at the helm here, with his usual gentle approach, conveying real sincerity across every sentence. His voice remains quiet throughout, dealing with whatever emotional territory the title throws up with remarkable care.

He sounds very much in the story he is telling here. Nothing about this feels rushed or half-hearted. Sounds like a perfect fit for his larger “For Love” project.
