Nigerian artist FOLA, who has gained a lot of traction with his debut album, has included “How Many?” among the new recordings on his 9 album, which is scheduled for release in 2026.
Their previous collaboration, which also included Mayorkun, was released on Davido’s album “Oriadé” in July. While promoting the project, Davido mentioned FOLA as one of the rising acts that would make up the future generation of Nigerian Afrobeats.
The cooperation includes artists from different eras of the genre’s growth. Davido has spent over a decade creating an international career, whereas FOLA represents a newer generation of songwriters, drawing from Afropop, modern R&B and Yoruba idioms.
The economic success of “B4 B4,” which already topped the official singles chart in Nigeria, gives their reunion a built-in following. It also underlines the importance of working together in FOLA’s ever-growing repertoire.
