South African producer Fanatic SA collaborates with vocalist Starr Healer on “Ama Emojies,” an upbeat Amapiano tune due out October 2, 2026, via Nkabi Records.
“Ama Emojies” grounds itself in the realities of modern communication, exploring how phones, messages, and emojis increasingly express emotions and romantic connections. The idea lends the track a modern twist, but it certainly doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s a dancefloor record.
Fanatic SA serves up the record, including deep Amapiano log drums, soft keyboard melodies, and a flowing bassline that keeps the production going. Starr Healer, over the instrumentation, gives soothing vocal parts that offer a melodic element to the aggressive arrangement.
“Ama Emojies” is a well-produced South African Amapiano vibe from Fanatic SA featuring Starr Healer on vocals and fits perfectly into the current dance music scene. The song also demonstrates how familiar everyday situations can spark new ideas within the genre.
