The dynamic duo brings Cadie Yano & CowBoii in for another standout track from their “Meanwhile In Daveyton” EP titled “Uyazibona.”
This is one of those games that gets better with repeated play. Each new voice is a fresh chapter in the story of Daveyton that the Dynamic Duo have been narrating from Paris. The arrival of Cadie Yano also brings another layer to the music of the EP. CowBoii, who has proven to be a reliable presence throughout the rest of the project.
The beat on Dynamic Duo – Uyazibona is true to the EP’s signature blueprint of deep log drums, rolling percussion and warm piano melodies working together to create that immersive Daveyton mood. Ambient synths give depth on top, and rich basslines fill up the low end. And it all has a soulful feel that helps “Uyazibona” stand out from some of the more cheerful pieces on the collection.
Dynamic Duo keep the delivery street-rooted and up front, letting the production breathe around their voices.
Then, Cadie Yano joins in with a delicate, soulful layer, before CowBoii ends things up with the same chemistry he’s delivered through the EP.
