Ending “Still In Charge” without a featured guest, “If You Like” features Nigerian singer-songwriter BNXN to close out the six-track EP.
The EP follows September’s “Online”, and its final tune completely shifts the spotlight back onto BNXN following the FOLA collaboration that comes right before it in the sequence.
Semzi produces, adding a rhythmic arrangement that enables space for his vocal phrase to retain the focus into the latter stretch, complementing BNXN’s melody-first approach.
A solo performance to round off is suitable for a production that places confidence and control at the core of its presentation, as its title suggests. BNXN gets another chance to remind us of how well he can anchor a full project on his own, following a year that also saw him collaborate with Sarz, with Still In Charge, which also features his collaborative work with Sarz.
