Abefe, one of Nigeria’s noticeable breakout voices of 2026, continues his fast-moving year busy with “A LOT A LOT” following the wider attention generated by his freestyles and debut EP Abefe (Begged To Be Loved).
The record continues the direct, melody-led style that has helped Abefe translate online popularity into a burgeoning repertoire. Following the July EP that included his previous singles “Romeo and Juliet” and “Yori Yori” for his first major collection of songs.
Afrobeats still retains the musical base but the vocal performance adds a lot to the song’s personality. The whole remains compact and accessible, and does not require an unduly crowded arrangement, so that Abefe’s phrasing and repeated lines may do the harder work.
Abefe is in a better spot now than at the start of the year with some of his records already making their way into Spotify Nigeria’s Top 50 for this release. That momentum provides new material with an audience eager to follow his development past the initial viral breakthrough.
