Godomarr is well represented on A Street Kid’s Diary (Disc 2) and returns with “Close To You,” another track from his 2026 album by Nigerian vocalist TML Vibez.
The producer has been crucial to TML Vibez’s current run, with his credits on the project including the likes of “Diamond or Gold,” “SHON PE (Count Your Money),” “CnF (Gbewa),” and other singles from the same era.
“Close To You” is very much in the Afrobeats genre, but with a considerably brisker pulse, allowing TML Vibez’s melodic phrasing to operate over a quicker rhythmic foundation than some of his softer works.
The TML Vibez-Godomarr coupling is becoming one of the defining production pairings of this album, and it’s happening over and over again. “Diamond or Gold” was already gaining traction on Nigerian radio before the complete project even dropped, and their prolonged collaboration allows listeners multiple opportunities to see that partnership blossom beyond one popular single.
