A familiar collaborator returns in collaboration with Nigerian producer Masterkraft on the Afrobeats tune “My Type,” starring Gvrden Boy on the 2026 album Party Starter (PS2).
The two worked together earlier on Cheekychizzy’s 2025 single, “Outside,” giving the new partnership some history before the present endeavor. This time, Gvrden Boy features on a release from Masterkraft.
Clocking just a shade over three minutes, the song is one of the leanest on the album. The Afrobeats tag and shorter length distinguish it from several of the larger Pop-tagged pieces scattered throughout the collection.
For projects where the producer is the lead, repeat collaborations can be a boon, and Masterkraft has regularly worked with artists over numerous releases. Gvrden Boy’s comeback matches that trend while offering the newer artist another appearance with a veteran who has a large African music following.
