Teenage Nigerian breakout Muyeez adds “Shake” to All Hail Muyeez, the full-length debut meant to showcase more of his variety than the tracks that first brought him into the spotlight.
The album drops with Muyeez seeming more comfortable in his position in the Afropop discourse, using the quick-flowing, melodic delivery that was an early signature and expanding his songwriting to a broader body of work.
Producer Larrylanes is a key player throughout All Hail Muyeez, crafting a wider Afro-fusion palette informed by Afrobeat, soul and electronic music. “Shake” lives within that purposely diverse musical landscape.
The range is vital for Muyeez at this point. His 2024 breakout was a rapid-fire series of releases, and the first album now provides him a bigger canvas to prove his individuality can be sustained throughout a whole project.
