Well-known, talented Woza Bakzin & GoldMax enlist Funky Qla and Zee Nxumalo for a bouncing new one titled “Cosh’ uPin.”
Four names. This time around, a tighter crew than the last one. Woza Bakzin and GoldMax keep the run of collabs going, and it’s starting to feel like a true stable of sound. Funky Qla and Zee Nxumalo settle in quite easily.
The log drum is still carrying the bulk of the production, which is no surprise. GoldMax brings in some brighter synth stabs, making it a slightly different hue to the last several tracks. Keeps things from getting too blurry, which is important after this many joint releases.
Woza Bakzin’s rhythm is unchanged from what he’s been doing across the run, unbothered, riding pocket. Funky Qla comes next with a bit more bite to the delivery. Different textures, same lane, really.
Zee Nxumalo plays us out and honestly steals some of the moment. There’s something about the tone that cuts through cleaner than the rest. Not a knock on anyone else, just how it shook out this round.
This crew won’t be changed by “Cosh’ uPin.” But it doesn’t need to be. When you’re this deep into a run of tracks, consistency is a win in itself.
