Rwandan Afrobeats singer Yee Fanta collaborates with fellow Rwandan singer Guerishom on new single “Inzoga (High),” announced in latest East African music releases.
Inzoga means alcohol or drink in Kinyarwanda – and the subtitle “(High)” gives you an idea of where this record lands. Yee Fanta doesn’t use the concept as a crutch to make a typical party track. The phrase has a cultural character that anchors the record in a very distinct Rwandan social world—sort of celebration, letting loose, releasing that goes on in local situations that most music never even attempts to address.
Guerishom had already released his own solo “Inzoga” in 2025 – so he is not coming to this partnership as a cold introduction to the subject.
