“Ispikili” is a collaboration between oza Bakzin and GoldMax this time and has no features.

No list of guests, for once. Honestly refreshing after all those congested posse cuts. GoldMax and Woza Bakzin just, no other business. No other people needed.

Back with a vengeance here on the log drum, GoldMax not holding back on the low. Feels like a regression to the simple party formula after “Umlando” slowed things down. Up front, sharp piano stabs, practically stabbing at the beat, like the title suggests.

Woza Bakzin. Locked in. This time no other voice to share a space with. More space to extend a stanza, take his time with the pocket. You can hear when there’s no one to bounce off of.

Not a great deal of lyrical substance to dig into, and that’s okay. “Ispikili” is not aiming to be “Umlando.” It’s a groove track, plain and simple. It’s made for movement, not meaning.

This time two names instead of six and to be honest it works just as well. Sometimes less is more.
