Well known talented Woza Bakzin and GoldMax hook up with Music Kid on new groove-heavy tune “Halmat”
Three names on one track and it doesn’t seem crowded somehow. Woza Bakzin delivers the concept of this one, GoldMax handles the sound, Music Kid wraps it up. Anyway, that’s the short version.
Here’s Amapiano as the base, the log drum keeping a solid thud behind some airy piano stabs. GoldMax isn’t overthinking the arrangement, keeping it basic and letting the rhythm do the heavy lifting. The mix has room to breathe, nothing squeezed in just to fill space.
Woza Bakzin rides the beat loose, not rushing a bar. Self-assured without trying to prove it. That’s really the whole energy of the verse honestly- just comfortable.
Music Kid comes on and changes the vibe a little, a little more bounce to the delivery. Doesn’t contradict anything Woza Bakzin put down though, more like he’s elaborating on it. Two contrasting paces in the same pocket. It somehow does the trick.
Lyrically, there is nothing deep going on here, and it doesn’t need to be. “Halmat” is a groove record, first and foremost. Message, if any, comes second. Sometimes that is the right thing to do.
