Nigerian musician Swayvee teams up with S.N.E for a new tune titled “Swavey Riddim,” and the pair bring some cross-border fire to the duet.
Since “Us” went viral on TikTok last year, with over 800,000 posts, Swayvee has been building tremendous momentum. So every new release carries weight right now because people still care. S.N.E, however, has been making waves across South African Afrosounds with singles like “Big Man Ting” with Stefflon Don. Both artists know how to play diverse markets.
“Swavey Riddim” is in that fun groove-led realm where Afrobeats meets the alternative. And the production maintains things light and rhythmic without pulling the vibe anywhere heavy.
Swayvee’s singing style is solid here. But the record is noteworthy in that S.N.E brings a distinct cultural texture to it in a slightly different way. Together they keep “Swavey Riddim” moving without getting too complex.
