Ugandan singer Sqoop Larma has released a new Afrobeats hit named “Temutuloga” and it has been getting some notice around East Africa since its release.
One of the more active Ugandan voices this year has been Sqoop Larma. With “Nebilungi Byogere” having earned serious TikTok traction earlier this year, he has already proven he knows how to craft songs that resonate far beyond his local fans. “Akadde” also released soon after, keeping up the trend without significant intervals between releases.
“Temutuloga” lives in that same peppy, infectious realm where his best releases live. Dance challenges and lyric modifications have already been proliferating across social media since the song launched — generally the clearest evidence that a hook has connected in the way it was meant to. His Afrobeats delivery stays natural and dynamic throughout, never feeling rushed.
Very few Ugandan musicians have managed to make this kind of steady streaming presence in such a short time. But Sqoop Larma keeps proving why he belongs in that conversation.
