“Survival” was originally released on Christmas Eve in 2023 and became one of the tracks that gained Nigerian singer-songwriter Skelvin more prominence, before subsequently appearing on the 2024 EP The Revelation.
Skelvin takes the album solo, carrying on with the motivational manner that has become a regular feature of his catalog. The track also helped introduce his music to a wider audience in the early days of his career.
The song, which is three minutes and 39 seconds long, was produced by Young G Mozes. Its short format and catchy presentation helped it become famous, and the song later gained a lot of attention on social media platforms.
The success of the release opened doors to later songs like “Cana”, “My Comforter”, “Hallelu”, “Alubarika”, “One Life”, “Masterpiece” and “Freedom,” which marked a significant landmark in Skelvin’s burgeoning catalog.
