The Neema Gospel Choir is celebrating 34 years this year, and instead of a quiet celebration, they held a full thanksgiving service at AICT Chang’ombe Church in Dar es Salaam back in June, recorded it live, and just released the results as “Mema Medley”.
Praise leader Noel Nobert masterminds the whole event, and every segment is backed by the choir’s house band, The Expendables. That combination gives “Mema Medley” a texture studio gospel rarely achieves: actual room acoustics, a congregation responding in real time rather than a mix produced for broadcast.
