Kiluza Fanani OG is back with a new love song titled “Mtoto” and this one sits in his most personal area yet.
“Mtoto” is not a difficult record. It’s not trying to be. Kiluza employs the word as a term of endearment throughout, the sort of nickname you only use for someone you care for. The intimacy is obvious and he doesn’t have to sell it too hard.
His voice is quiet and controlled all the way through. He doesn’t go for the dramatic moments. Instead, he talks to one individual, and that calm approach lands harder somehow than a large performance.
Kiluza Fanani OG has developed his catalogue on singles like Nakukumbuka 3, Picha and Usiku with Dulla Kanda. But “Mtoto” is more visceral than a lot of what has come before. And the “Four for Friends” EP earlier this year had genuine versatility. So this solo romantic encounter coming now fits along with way his 2026 has been shaping up.
