Atlanta rapper Hunxho hooks up with Brooklyn drill star BabyDrill on “Throw It” via 300 Entertainment — and the two-minute length tells you everything you need to know about the energy they were aiming for.
This isn’t an album aiming to convey a long story. “Throw It” clocks in at precisely two minutes with one purpose — hit hard and get out. BabyDrill and Hunxho both know that compression. Neither wastes a bar to fill space the song doesn’t need.
The pairing has real history, as well. BabyDrill’s on “Just Want You” off his 2024 “ScoreGod” project and on “JUST A RAPPER” off his own 2026 project “Still Dangerous.” So “Throw It” isn’t a frigid intro of two strangers. Two artists who know each other’s frequency already, stepping back into a route that already demonstrated it works.
BabyDrill has been extremely active in his 2026 run. Before this record came out, “BULLY,” “SMUSH EM,” and “Still Dangerous” all dropped in the same year. He comes into “Throw It” with real momentum behind him. Hunxho brings that enthusiasm without even trying to out-drill the drill artist. Instead, he remains in his melodic rap pocket and allows the disparity between their styles to build the tension that the record thrives off of.
On both ends, the 300 Entertainment co-sign also means this record comes with the correct promotional infrastructure, and not just the hope of organic streaming. Already gaining momentum with the appropriate audience, the song has already racked up 12,700 Audiomack plays in its first week.
“Throw It” is the kind of album that gets the job done effectively for fans of melodic rap and Brooklyn drill co-existing without discomfort.
“Throw It” is available now on Audiomack, Apple Music and Spotify — now experience two minutes of laser-focused excitement.
