“Blessings” is a collaboration between Nigerian indigenous rapper Highstarlavista and fellow Nigerian rapper Aguero Banks. It is one of the notable collaborations from the six-track 2026 EP MATERIAL.
The album is about appreciation, growth and recognizing God’s grace during terrible times, with both rappers relying on street experience and personal introspection. It is a follow-up to Highstarlavista’s last production, “Mgbidi” with Erigga.
Enaps is the producer, and it’s hip-hop. The rap setting allows Highstarlavista and Aguero Banks to take turns on their verses, keeping the message clear and uncluttered. The set-up continues to prioritize their performance and narrative.
The partnership also revives a working relationship heard earlier on “Obodobo.” Both musicians have cultivated solid followings in Nigeria’s Eastern rap scene, so this contemplative record will find a natural audience among fans familiar with their past.
