Nigerian gospel musician and songwriter Henrisoul continues his streak of live praise albums with “I Choose Joy,” a 2026 release recorded during the Make America Praise Again concert in Arlington.
Next up is “PURE,” featuring Faith Child and the song is about choosing joy no matter what happens. With the DFW 50-Man Band Choir backing him, Henrisoul converts that message into a collective praise moment rather than a presentation about himself.
The live version has the feel of a whole worship service, with strong choir parts, joyful instrumentation and a beat to keep the performance going. Henrisoul’s speech is consistently lively, as befits the setting around him.
His library already features gospel hits like “Emmanuel” and a handful of live praise albums, so the format serves a familiar audience with his active ministry. Its communal hook should also make it suitable for church praise sessions and gospel playlists.
