The record was first posted by Arewa Sound back in 2020 before being released in later editions. As Garzali Miko does the writing and production himself the sentiment has always been consistent with every release, never watered down by outside hands re-shaping the message.
Lyrically the song is really simple. he says clearly he wants someone close, he doesn’t want to be separated and he keeps saying it until it is the whole foundation of the song. There is no complex plot here, but that simplicity is the whole point.
His approach is to opt for certainty over complexity, to pick one person and then create the entire record around the need for that link to hold. Whereas other artists rely on metaphor, Garzali Miko just states what he intends and lets the repetition do the work.
