Zambian gospel and Afropop musician Ozone Africa has released a new solo tune called “Morning.” This release adds to a collection that already includes “Mulimu Waka,” “Sinimachitila Dala” and the Jemax duet “Kaya” from one of Zambia’s more active voices in the faith-based music field.
Based out of Olijaba Entertainment, Ozone Africa has managed to build a fanbase off the back of a steady stream of albums that combine Zambian musical sense with gospel themes. His sound straddles the line between devotional music and contemporary Afropop, and that balance is part of what makes his catalogue travel as well as it does across the Zambian music scene. “Morning” follows in that same lane.
It’s the kind of record that is as much a daily affirmation as it is a musical experience, and that’s where Ozone Africa’s strength is at.
“Morning” is a welcome addition to Ozone Africa’s catalogue of devotional tracks.
