“North South” is the title song for Nigerian rappers Erigga and EESKAY’s joint EP North & South (2026) credited together with Cleanblack Music.
The song brings the project’s cross-regional idea in focus, mixing Erigga’s South-South perspective with EESKAY’s Abuja-rooted presence. Their various backgrounds contribute to a bigger conversation about ambition, pressure, survival, and experiences that are common throughout different sections of Nigeria.
The production was handled by Tubase, with arrangement credits going to Kachisicho “Jefe” Ayogu-Eze. Coming in at just over three minutes, the record gives both rappers enough space to establish their own personalities, while also maintaining the immediacy of the collaboration.
The title track, “North South,” serves as a good foundation for the concept of the larger project: while location and terminology may differ, there are many overlapping realities that shape the narratives of both artists.
