Chocolate City continues the 2026 momentum with “Uloma”, putting Tar1q, Major AJ and Noon Dave in the spotlight on an Afro-fusion tune that modulates the emotional pitch of the campaign.
The three-artist roster here is more compact and concentrated than the broader ensemble albums. Tar1q takes the lead as the voice on the record and does it convincingly throughout. His pen has always one of the Chocolate City’s more undervalued weapons and “Uloma” provides him the room to show that without having to fight for attention.
Major AJ adds his melodic flexibility to the record, but in a way that enhances Tar1q, rather than overshadows. Clearly, the two artists know how to share creative space without either yanking the song off its emotional axis. Noon Dave then caps the partnership with his distinctive warmth, offering “Uloma” its most sonically identifiable moment for fans that have followed his output closely.
The song’s title – “Uloma” – is an Igbo feminine name that can be loosely translated as “good thoughts” or “good heart.” So even before the composition, the record has a cultural warmth that gives it a different texture than the rougher, more aggressive energy of “GO CRAZY II” and “Suddenly.” That range of tones is what makes Chocolate City’s 2026 campaign feel like a proper body of work, rather than a collection of similarly-styled releases.
The production is warm and modern Afrobeats throughout. So the record slots in perfectly with the label’s radio-friendly output without feeling watered down.
