Tanzanian singer Boshen releases a solo single titled “Tena” adding to a constant release of records this year.
“Tena” is Swahili for “again” and Boshen’s recent catalogue explains why that word is apt for his present momentum. This year he’s been seen on “Sweet” with Haitham Kim and Kelechi and with “Raha,” but this solo record allows him to take a step forward on his own, without sharing the spotlight.
Boshen continues to build at his own speed which might be one of the more underestimated traits in the present music environment of East Africa. Long term consistency without chasing noise tends to go further.
