Producer and recording artist Blaqboi emerges into the limelight on “FIRST CLASS” with Nigerian vocalist Terri. The collaboration has Blaqboi behind the beat and on the billing.
Terri had already previewed the album with the line “once bitten, twice shy” and a promise to fly his woman first class, setting up a song focused with attractiveness, confidence, and giving someone an upgraded experience.
Note that Blaqboi’s involvement is important, as his work ranges from production to composition and musical direction. Here, the creative origin story is baked into the record itself, Terri openly giving him credit for the beat before it even drops.
“FIRST CLASS” is consequently more than a mere feature placement. It provides Blaqboi a real artist-producing role, while combining his producer self with Terri’s already established melodic voice in the Nigerian pop scene.
