Baba Tundey of umasi is back with the sequel of one of his most loved street tracks. He brings in Kwaku DMC, Skyface SDW and Reggie on “GANGSTER LOVE II” – produced by Mirakilouz Beatz.
The original “Gangster Love” made a name for itself in the Ghana drill scene. So it was only natural to follow it up with three of the Asakaa movement’s sharpest voices. But this is not a lazy follow-up. “GANGSTER LOVE II” earns its keep by giving each artist a well defined job, not just piling names on a beat.
Below Mirakilouz Beatz keeps the production underpinned by hard-hitting drill intensity. But the song isn’t all-out aggression. The thread of street romance flowing through the writing gives it an emotional dimension that maintains the record accessible beyond hardcore drill aficionados. So it performs just as well in the automobile with the sound full blast as it does for couple lifestyle content on Tik Tok.
Kwaku DMC is on his poetic game as always. Skyface SDW delivers the irresistible swagger that has made him one of the most identifiable sounds coming out of Asakaa. Reggie finishes the picture with street-level delivery that grounds the whole record in the Kumasi environment this movement sprang from. But Baba Tundey is in the lead position all through – which confirms that this is his sequel, and not a four-way collaboration in his name.
The original fans were ready and waiting, and you can tell by the fact that “GANGSTER LOVE II” trended immediately across Audiomack, Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube. Ghana drill has never been this confident in 2026.
