Ghanaian singer Reefer Tym teams up with Colombian performer Jheral and Jão Beats for “Asalto”, an Afro-Beat duet scheduled for March 2026 and also featured on the album Vide.
That followed Reefer Tym’s “Bend” earlier in the month. And the addition of Jheral, who provides a Caribbean-facing vocal presence to the Ghanaian artist’s material from 2026, offers the collaboration a broader regional vibe.
The production is in the hands of Jão Beats, who supports the two vocalists with a groove-led arrangement that keeps the song flowing without confusing its structure too much. Reefer Tym and Jheral handle the vocals, while the production is really just a setting for their interplay.
Months after its original release, the track has experienced a surge in Shazam activity in other territories including Colombia, Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates. who rediscovery offers another window to move beyond the audience who first discovered it through Vide.
