Kai Angel kicks off his experimental Shh! project with the self-titled “Shh!,” establishing the tone for a release that’s not just traditional rap.
The 14-track project, which runs about 26 minutes, kicks out with the song “Shh!” It came out September 11, 2026. The album is a mix of alternative hip-hop with electronic sounds, pop elements and hints of alternative rock.
The title tune is our first glimpse into the unorthodox world Kai Angel creates with the project. Rather of sticking to the typical rap format, he branches out into a more genre-bending sound, with the majority of the album sung in English. The larger project has been hailed as a huge departure from his prior rap-heavy sound.
“Shh!” precedes that transition, giving early listeners a sense of the darker, more experimental atmosphere around the record. The first one is important since it sets the tone for the whole sequence of the endeavor.
