Lagos-based singer Yung Effissy was born and raised in Nigeria and released the solo single “Fowosere” on 8 September, adding to a productive 2026 of new content.
The album comes on the heels of “Together,” which dropped at the end of August and has Yung Effissy working without a featured guest. That swift reversal is indicative of the continuous release pattern that has characterized much of his year.
Officially listed as pop, the song’s presentation is tightly tied to the street-facing approach that has molded much of his career. Yung Effissy is still the only performer, not depending on collaboration as the major attraction.
His consistency has helped him establish a recognizable discography with tracks such as “On Guide,” “Kash Bella,” and “The Story of Ola.” This new solo release adds extra stuff to work with for that existing fanbase, while expanding his presence over the last stretch of 2026.
