2026 Yoruba-English worship album “Ipe (The Calling)” by award-winning Nigerian gospel minister Adeyinka Alaseyori is all about divine purpose and features fellow gospel minister BBO.
It’s a piece about being picked to do a task, and how it’s not about being worthy, but more about mercy. Alaseyori uses the biblical tales of Peter, Saul, who turned to Paul, and Moses to explain how flawed people can be entrusted with great responsibilities.
Edward Sunday produces the 26-minute track, providing Alaseyori and BBO space for an extended ministry format, rather than squeezing the message into the framework of a traditional single.
That length is helpful since “Ipe (The Calling)” methodically explores its primary thought, linking gifts, abilities, work and service with stewardship. It is another outstanding example of Alaseyori’s use of Yoruba gospel expression to deliver practical Christian teaching.
