Nigerian musician AGADA revisits the concept with “Veuve Clicquot,” a 2026 single starring Headies-nominated Nigerian rapper Psycho YP, over 14 years after it was first conceived during a Lagos radio freestyle.
The song takes the famous champagne name as a symbol of progress, not just luxury, with AGADA reflecting on ambition, confidence and the satisfaction that comes from realizing how far consistent effort has taken him.
Musically, the song is propelled by Afrobeats, Afro-R&B and hip-hop influences. A unique element can be found behind the finalized recording: AGADA finished his final vocals in a closet at home during December 2025.
Psycho YP brings established new school rap pedigree to the collaboration, providing an additional layer to a song already related directly to AGADA’s personal progress. Giving an old freestyle idea the full release treatment also adds a history to the album that few stand-alone singles have.
