Nigerian musician Kunmie enlists fast-rising rapper G4ZI for “Laye Mi”, off his debut album 22, released with the whole project on 14 August 2026.
Kunmie keeps the record on the relationship side of the album, writing from a vulnerable position as love, reassurance and the urge to feel understood shape the conversation.
Produced by Big Space. Mixed by Harry Chaplin. There is room in the song for each singer to make their contribution without turning the cooperation into a battle for attention.
G4ZI comes to the feature amid a key introduction year of his own, following “Energy”, his 2026 collab with Kizz Daniel. So his arrival connects Kunmie to another youthful voice starting to reach a bigger audience.
