South African hitmakers Cooper SA and Tyler ICU team up with Al Xapo, Ceeka RSA, Khalil Harrison and Femme Fatale Selection on “International,” a notable track off their collaborative EP “One Day in Tembisa.”
The credits alone tell you how this project was constructed. Cooper SA and Tyler ICU have been building collaborative record after collaborative record in 2026 – “Weekend” with Thama Tee and Tiiger, “Khoma Lah” with LeeMcKrazy, “Webaba Geza” with Scotts Maphuma. So “International” is not a characteristic in itself. It’s part of a wider trend of two producers who regularly put trust in ensemble energy over individual limelight.
That trust shows up in the way the record comes together. Ceeka RSA joins Al Xapo and Khalil Harrison, who have also worked extensively with this group of Amapiano musicians, bringing the same vocal chemistry that has propelled past Cooper SA collaborations this year. Femme Fatale Selection brings more texture to the track without cramming an already crammed feature list.
What strikes me about “International” in “One Day in Tembisa” is the term itself. It speaks to an ambition that stretches beyond the local scene, and coupling that reach with a title-track energy that comes from within an EP built on collaboration throughout suits the present trend of South African Amapiano – genre-defining not by a single huge name, but thru networks of artists growing together.
