South African DJ Karri joins forces with Katah Katah, Zela Force and Rex on “Kwe Kwee” calling on SmallDrum and Malandela for a dancefloor ready Amapiano single.
This list was not an error. Katah Katah has been a staple in his recent discography with tunes like “Strateng,” and Rex and SmallDrum are on many albums with DJ Karri, including “Nana 2.0” and “Lakodura.” So “Kwe Kwee” remains with a professional connection that already has a track record of producing hits, rather than experimenting with an uncertain chemistry.
Zela Force gives a new breath to the ancient circle and Malandela adds his unique touch to the vocal effort. Six artists and the outcome is infectious beats and catchy, layered tunes making that full and dense sound that has become a characteristic of DJ Karri’s collaborative style in 2025 and 2026.
What’s impressive is how DJ Karri keeps the records new so constantly, often working with the same revolving partners. Kwe Kwe” has the same contagious energy that made “Strateng” and “Nana 2.0” stand out moments in his discography, but finds its own identity trough the new additions of Zela Force and Malandela.
