Tanzanian Singeli singer Kidene Fighter hooks up with Killy Tz for “Kizimkazi”, another high-speed collab for one of the most prolific Singeli catalogues of the year.
Kizimkazi is a coastal Tanzanian place famed for its dolphins and deep marine heritage. But Kidene Fighter doesn’t utilize the moniker as a lesson in geography. Rather, it is a cultural anchor, rooting the record in a distinct Tanzanian culture, while the Singeli rhythm propels everything ahead at full speed.
Killy Tz is just the kind of record. His singing style is somewhat similar to Kidene Fighter’s without imitating it. So the two artists share the track rather than fighting over it.
