Well-known, talented Slovak-born pop star Adéla delivers feisty new track, “Ain’t In LA.”
This one was first performed live back in April, when Adéla debuted it on Demi Lovato’s “It’s Not That Deep Tour.” From there, the fan demand kept increasing and the official video finally landed July 23. So when this record officially dropped, it had some legit momentum behind it.
The production focuses on large, anthemic pop instrumentation designed for maximum effect. Nothing in here is reserved for subtlety. The arrangement is still bold and the hook really packs a punch from the first chorus.
That’s the kind of bluntness you’d expect from an artist who has been upfront about wanting her deep cuts to hit as hard as her singles.
“Ain’t In LA” lyrically is a rebuttal to the concept of excellence being in one city or one road. The repeated refrain about “the baddest bitches” not requiring LA is a rallying cry against small-town limits. So there’s something for even non-music industry types to get a hold of here.
