South African producer ESK Musiq links up with Egyptian Musiq, Ndade Smash and HUSHRR ZA on a new tune dubbed “Yini.”
It’s a line-up that draws on diverse corners of ESK Musiq’s circle of collaborators. Egyptian Musiq has been featured on a few of his latest albums, Ndade Smash has appeared on the likes of “Bayeke!!” and “Stolen History,” and HUSHRR ZA rounds out the ensemble as the newest name in the mix. So “Yini” sounds like ESK Musiq bringing some of his most trusted names on one tune at once.
Production continues to follow the same formula that’s propelled his 2026 run, based around rolling percussion with evocative synth soundscapes on top. The groove is there throughout and “Yini” has the consistent dancefloor pull his catalog has become known for. Nothing over-crowded here, even with four names on the credits.
ESK Musiq holds down the album with his trademark production control, keeping it tight on the rhythm while allowing for each vocal to come through.
Egyptian Musiq, Ndade Smash and HUSHRR ZA then each take turns across the tune, providing their unique layer to the vocal work. They add more depth to “Yini” than your average solo cut and no one voice steals the thunder from another.
