Caiiro De Vocalist reunites once again with South African producer ESK Musiq on a tune named “Hee Nyaka Nyaka.”
The track is part of his “Kings Will Rise” project, which was released via O53 Entertainment. “Hee Nyaka Nyaka” fits perfectly into that larger project, another chapter in a collaboration that continues to pop up throughout ESK Musiq’s recent output.
Production-wise, it’s in sync with the rest of “Kings Will Rise,” which is built on rolling percussion and layered electronic textures that give the record a continuous, absorbing draw. From the beginning the groove is locked in. Each layer has got adequate space to breathe. It’s the same floor-focused, patient sound that has become a calling card of the project.
ESK Musiq maintains the arrangement tight, structuring the beat with the same steadiness that runs through the rest of his oeuvre.
Then Caiiro De Vocalist adds his signature touch on top. Folding into the groove as he has on their past collaborations. He adds a little extra texture to ESK MUSIQ – Hee Nyaka Nyaka without detracting from the beat.
