Burna Boy is a Nigerian Afro-fusion singer and composer born in Lagos. When he was ten years old, he began producing music. Burna moved to London to study after graduating from college. He dropped out after two years and returned to Nigeria to pursue his vocation. Burna was given studio space to record and produce by a creative named LeriQ. His father was a big fan of reggae and dancehall music. This is where he got his early musical influences and flair. His granddad dabbled in Afrobeat music and even worked as a manager for Fela Kuti. LeriQ and Burna produced a track titled “Prefer to Party” which initiated his rise to prominence on a national and international level. His debut studio album, L.I.F.E., received rave reviews and featured Wizkid, Timaya, and more.
